Earth is battered by storm of charged particles from the sun and it could disrupt the power grids, satellite navigation, and plane routes. The storm is largest in five years and it will bombard the Earth's magnetic field throughout Thursday. Because of this storm, the Northern Light may be visible at lower altitude. The light might be seen on UK on Thursday. The BBC said that incoming cloud of particles could affect satellites and will launch a geomagnetic storm in the Earth's protective magnetic field. The magnetic field protects the Earth from harmful radiation. The storm might shake the field, but not destroy. Some storms can have significant effect like the one in 1972 where the solar flare knocked out long distance telephone communication in US. In 1989, another flare put six million people into darkness in Canada. There are concerns that there might be a potential communication problem for aircraft and disruption to GPS signals caused by current solar activity.
I wrote a summary of this article because my topic is supernatural and in the 21 century, many unnatural things happened like earth quakes, tsunamis, etc... Along with these events we face global warming and in some countries, the global warming is actually cooling the countries making them colder than ever. The effect of all these unnatural things is massive and many people are suffering from them. I am also concerned that it is not caused by anyone, but the human beings and not only are we causing problem to ourselves, but also to other living things who we are not happily sharing the resources with. The earthquakes in Japan was so massive that country as advanced as Japan is having a hard time economically and politically. It seems like God is angry with everyone and causing horrible things to happen, so that people realize their mistakes and try to fix their problems. I am scared that maybe in the future, some events like the one in the movie "2012" might occur as God's final punishments which I think kind of relates to the story of Noah's ark where God only saved few things in the world. I believe Earth is a scary place to live.
